In 2015, the City of Adelaide and its surrounding suburbs were awarded the inaugural Innovative Regions Award in the Australian Technologies Competition. Adelaide has one of best coordinated entrepreneurial ecosystems in Australia.
Announced in September 2016, GigCity Adelaide will connect businesses within Adelaide's Innovation Precincts with extremely fast broadband speeds of up to 100x the national average.
